Nursery School

TBI (Temple Beth Israel) Nursery School provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children ages two to five.  Founded in 1973, TBI has an excellent reputation in the community. Our school boasts new, state-of-the-art, air conditioned classrooms and the latest outdoor playground equipment.

We believe in developing each child’s natural curiosity, imagination and self esteem. We create an environment which will provide your children with the learning experiences and skills that will give them the best foundation for a successful, happy school life.

Our teaching staff is the backbone of our program. Each class has a certified teacher and an assistant.  Our teachers have advanced degrees and are specialists in early childhood education.

Our teachers are nurturing, dedicated, enthusiastic professionals, who bring their creativity and years of experience into the classroom everyday.  We are proud to offer a high teacher to child ratio in each class.

We take pride in giving your children the first steps towards a Jewish education. The joy of the holidays and Shabbat are celebrated through crafts, song, storytelling and cooking.

Parents and caregivers are always welcome at TBI. We encourage our families to share in your child’s everyday experiences as well as in the Temples festivities throughout the year. Many parents take turns joining us on Thursday's for Shabbat and reading a special story to the class after our songs and prayers. Parents are also welcome to share their special skills with our students.

Several times during the year we have a Friday night service that is very casual and is designed specifically for the nursery school students and their families.

After school, we offer enrichment classes. Some of our enrichment classes are Yoga, Cooking, Gardening, Master of the Great Art, Around the World, The Sky Above, Let's Learn Hebrew. The children are given an opportunity to learn computer skills in groups of two under the patient direction of one of our teachers.

There is a Breakfast Club during the school year for those parents who need an earlier start to the school day.

An optional hot lunch program is provided, with such favorites as pizza and maccaroni and cheese.
