Temple Beth Israel

The Mostly Mitzvah Committee has been “cooking” for 8 years now. Our committee works hand in hand with UJA and their offshoot organization FEGS cooking and delivering meals to families in need all over Long Island. Co-Chairs Louise Cooper and Lisa Levine have cooked over 100 meals with the assistance of both our Hebrew School and Hebrew High School students. It is a lesson in tsedakah with a hands on approach that makes this a wonderful experience for the recipients and the chefs.

In addition to this committee many other Mitzvah Projects enter Temple Beth Israel through our congregants and various other resources. The current projects will be posted here on a revolving basis and on the Community bulletin board within TBI.
